Event Details

  • When: Saturday,May 18th, 2024   (Rain or shine)
  • Rain date: May 19th, 2024  (Will only be used if conditions are dangerous such as lightning) If weather is questionable we will post updates here and on Facebook @Ryan's Home Run Derby by 7am.

Registration check-in: 8:30am - 9:45am
10am - Armed Forces Day Military ceremony honoring; 

Capt Ryan K. Iannelli, USMC 

All Veterans and active military will be invited onto the Ryan K. Iannelli Memorial Field as we honor and thank them for their service.
There will be a fly over out of McGuire Air force base weather permitting.
Derby will begin immediately following the ceremony.


Fun for the whole family!
Raffle, 50/50, DJ, Uncle Pigs barbecue, kids carnival games & prizes, face painting, and Joe Joe the Clown/balloon artist.


There will be seven divisions:

  • Tee-ball age:   4 - 6
  •  All Tee-Ball participants will get ten hits and receive an award after hitting. This level is not a competitive level.
  • Competitive divisions:
  • Youth age:      7 - 9
  • Youth age:  10 - 12
  • Youth age:  13 - 15
  • High School   (student ID required)
  • College   (student ID required)
  • Non student adult

* Competition will begin at Youth age: 7-9 through non-student adult

* There will be six 1st place trophies, six 2nd & six 3rd place

    medals for each of the six competition divisions.

* Awards will be presented at the completion of  the derby.


DERBY RULES for COMPETITION LEVELS:
Ten swings
No outs
Every hit will have the potential to earn points based on how far it travels in the air.
Highest point total wins (one winner per level)
Regulation baseball
You may use your own bat of choice or one will be provided at the field.
